Hey guys,
Codelook has just updated and saying by Jan 2017 fibre date, I'm wondering if anyone can find me more info, a more precise date, I'm hoping it's not far away at all now!
I've posted a few times, but this seems a significant update. My postcode is HR2 9DX.

Just keep checking the Openreach site (then when and where page) as it's updated daily.
Some cabs round here were destined for Jan 17 but went live early September.

On the openreach site, it says it is on "connect" with the codelook website saying fibre will be live by October 2016 for my area....I hope it's weeks? I'm wondering if it might be pushed back.

That's anyone's guess. I've seen cabinets sit at connect for years, while others have taken a matter of days.

The openreach when and where is complete b*****ks. We have two lines at this address both going through the same cabinet. For one line it says accepting orders, for the other it says doing the field survey. Both statements are wrong as the cabinet has been installed but not activated.

As with anything, there will always be omissions and data records issues, especially in cases where there's some line plant rearrangement taking place and moving lines.
For the most part, it's accurate.

It'll happen when it happens, basically. Anything else is a guesstimate.
Mine has been just around the corner since 2010 - supposedly now it's in "build stage, 5 months away" ..... same as it was in January. Both are complete [censored], as planning permission for the cabinet expired years ago and they haven't re-applied.

that's true, I wish there was a way to find out. When openreach will install fibre cable to a cabinet.

January seems possible, but then it get delayed buy weeks/months at any point.

Your still an EO Line that is due to be moved over to a cabinet (Pending - EO Line).
The good news is your rollout is still in scope.
Now wen it will go live I don't know.

Ditto.
Our line was due 2013. The cabinet was installed almost 2 years ago but it's still in "Connect" and the date keeps getting bumped 3 months every 3 months. Was due end of Sep, now end of Dec.
What's even more fustrating for me is the streets either side of us on other cabinets have been enabled for over a year now :|
Anyway, so far I've found no way to find out what's going on. All Ic an assume is there is a problem getting the fiber line to the cab as it has easy access to power. IT's installed so who knows.
Hell, wouldn't surprise me if they just "forgot" about it.

I know that feeling too well....mine was on 'connect' for several days, now it's gone back to 'design'. But adsl check says by 31st March 2017 and code look says October. While BT say there is a speed upgrade due at my local exchange, with a minimum of 39 meg?
I honestly, have no clue either...1 step forward, 5 steps back

Still heard no news, not long before the end of the year now! Wish I could get some more information, so frustrating!

Exchange area so far has only had FTTP delivered, so higher chance that is what you'll get.
No sign of road works, suggesting that by Jan 2017 is looking unlikely.
Another option would be a new VDSL2 cabinet to handle 5 or 6 postcodes (probable location in HR2 9DH) and could serve 60 or so premises with superfast (and more at lower speeds).

There's a cabinet that's been installed, marked with a number "2". There have been road works due to unblock the ducting, and installing fibre cable, which I presume now have been complete.
I haven't seen anyone about for a good while now, so frustrating that I can't get any more info, everyone just says we'll notify you.
I'm not too sure what they're waiting for, or why the Superfast site hasn't been updated to show work has started

Cabinets with a number on them are just regular PCP's. Fibre cabs aren't numbered as such although they will have an internal idenfitication code.
You just need to keep an eye on roadworks and the where and when checker.

Not quite true, my local AIO cabinet provided by Fastershire BDUK project has a number 6 on it, BT checker says I am connected to cabinet 6. Pity it's not activated yet! Scheduled for end of year.

|

It has the number because its also a PCP

Yep, our AIO is the same. Has a 7 painted on the side and the front. That'll be because it's also a PCP, so that's why it's numbered.
Our AIO cab has been live since early/middle of October, We're just waiting for BT to migrate us (and everyone else) to the new cabinet. This is apparently a 2 week process, although I think it's running on BT weeks rather than normal weeks.

Toonshorty.............
The AIO Cabinet next to my house has just gone live (my line is looped through it). Currently we're connected to the FTTC cabinet next to our PCP which is 1300 metres away and we get pretty poor BB from it 10/1 on a good day. Is this the similar situation that you've got? You talk about "Migrating" are you currently connected to an FTTC cab further away than the AIO? Me and my neighbours are trying to get a handle on what the process of moving is, i.e. does it happen automatically or do we need to prod our ISP's .......

My local FTTC cab has a number on it but it's probably because it's not in the same road as the PCP it's connected to. There's another fibre cab 50m further along the road that also connects to a PCP that is in a side road.
I guess it's just to avoid confusion.

Yeah mine says P2 as my fibre cabinet on codelook, I'd just wish they'd update the checker to see what's happening, codelook says live Jan 2017, but I can't see that if the checker hasn't updated to starting work...

Yes, that was the obvious point I was trying to make, perhaps in a too subtle way.

Yep, same situation.
Our line was originally connected to P2, which had it's fibre twin go live October 2015. This cabinet is around 1500m away by road, but throwing my attenuation into a line length estimator suggests it's just shy of 2km. We currently get a sync of 17042/1825, so not terrible, but would rather be getting 80/20 from the new cab.
Since the new AIO has been installed, BT's database(s) show us as connected P7 but that a fibre service is not available. This is obviously incorrect as I'm using one right now, but it's still connected to P2 for fibre, but P7 for PSTN (I believe).
I'm told that this is an automated process, and that eventually an engineer will be sent out to move all the lines over to the new cabinet - as soon as that happens, your line will disconnect and then once reconnected, sync at a much higher speed. You won't need to chase Openreach or your ISP.
The reason for the delay is because they need to agree a time with all the ISPs. If it were up to me I'd just yank the lines out and move them over as soon as the cab goes live, but that's probably why I'm not an OR engineer. Until this migration happens, no new fibre services can be installed on the new fibre cabinet (or the old one for houses due to be migrated).

Literally the most frustrating thing, I hate that I can't seem to get any date, any idea as to what's happening.
I'm a web designer, and any client with lots of video content l literally have to turn away, it's ridiculous! If I had some idea, at least I could plan, but there's absolutely no info. I haven't seen a BT van for weeks, it's so annoying! :|
