I'm looking to move into a new house soon and will be ordering an 80Mbps VDSL service. I believe the last time I checked the property there was a standard NTE5 master socket alongside an old Telewest faceplate, presumably from an old cable service (the house is also served by Virgin Media).
Since I don't have any filters and won't be using an ISP that supplies any kit, I'll need to sort this part myself. We won't have/need a landline phone at the property so this isn't a problem.
In terms of achieving the best line performance, would we be better off using a MK3 filtered faceplate, or fitting a broadband only unfiltered faceplate (such as the one sold by AAISP)?
