Weird Markings on Pavement/Paths

Hello all,

I am new here but I have been checking the progress of getting FTTC by looking where my old Internet Cabinet is and I noticed that on the Pavements/Paths surrounding the area there is lines with numbers and also just small lines on there own. My question is, are these lines and numbers to do with BT Openreach marking out and measuring where they want to place the Cabinet and Wires?

I have been waiting for FTTC for over 4 years now and I just hope that I can get it soon as I feel we are the last in our area to get it

But hey hopefully its all good news and I can be happy that they are doing the work, also on the Where And When Website it says we are on Design stage which I don't think is true, because if it is BT Openreach or someone who is contracted to do work for them they would need to get permission to mark the Pavements/Paths first right? If that is true then we should be on the Build stage now right?

Try taking a look on roadworks.org in the area of your cabinet, Openreach are likely to list every stage on there with a telephone icon. Make sure to select the "roadworks" layer and up to 12 months. That should give you a better indication of what's currently going on.

I have checked on the website you recommended and nothing is in place yet so my guess is they are still planning it and hopefully soon it will popup.

If any BT/Openreach listings appear over the weeks mentioning PCP, DSLAM or ducts, then it's related to the installation of fibre equipment.

I have more detail for you on the markings here they are, Also they are White, they show up Yellow because of the street lights as its still dark sorry.

Well I can see a due date of October next year and still currently down as part as a commercial rollout.
I can see your on Cabinet 59 on exchange Cleveleys (LCCLV)

It seems that they are currently at the design stages and that they give a within the next 12 months date.

Both of these sort of align up with the rollout phase of the rollout for your area / exchange.
