Ping stabilise using 3rd part router.

My old bt HH5a was starting to go a bit dodgy so I dug out my old Thomson tg589 v3 and set it up and the difference is stability is massive. My ping monitor has went from being all over the place with the HH (massive ping spikes every 5-10mins upto 120ms and packet loss as well) to this

Any body any ideas of why it's become so much more stable all of a sudden?

the hh5a had issues, i had 3 or 4 and all of them kept dropping connection, bt modem and a seperate router is so much better.

The Thomson has a built in modem so it's performing very well. My HH was rock solid up until a few months ago.
