It's on their site that they offer FTTPoD? (may only be in ther coverage area though i.e Wales and South West) - https://spectruminternet.com/business-broadband/fttp...

Correct, Spectrum offer FTTP & FTTPoD in South West England & Wales only. Also their FTTPoD package is on a 24 month min term whilst the Openreach based one is on a 36 month min term.

Also see here for confirmation

Are you sure they do not use the BTw backhaul? I cannot see how such a small ISP can do that...

They have their own backhaul links at some exchanges in the SW such as Cardiff Empire
https://www.samknows.com/broadband/exchange/SWCFATE

So I Imagine their FTTx circuits use these links. Wrt FTTPoD, they're doing what the likes of Sky, Talktalk, Vodafone/C&W etc should be doing.
