I first checked the FTTC status on BT's "when and where" website for a telephone number connected to cabinet 6 of the Park Street exchange and it said it was in the "field survey" stage which meant FTTC would typically be available within 9 months. I don't know how long the cabinet was showing as having been in this stage prior to Mar-16. Now, 12 months on from my initial check, it is still in the "field survey" stage. Is there any way of knowing when this cabinet might really be upgraded?
Thank you

Are there any planned roadworks shown on http://www.roadworks.org in that area?

There is a DSLAM cabinet next to PCP6 however, I think it is actually connected to PCP8 which is also placed within the same locality.

Tried contacting connected counties? http://www.connectedcounties.org/#contact

According to Connected Counties, your cabinet should be done under Phase 3 which started 1 Jan 2017 and ends 30 Mar 2018 - http://www.connectedcounties.org/assets/file/List-of...

Hi Andy HCZ..sorry to hijack this thread but do you have any more lists of postcodes and when for any other parts of the country instead of Hertfordshire. I am sure several on here would love a list like that for there area

Unfortunately not. Each BDUK area is different with the deployment information they release.

or in the case of Better Broadband for Norfolk what they dont tell you for weeks and weeks, where according to the website nothing has happened. You would think that a website promoting better broadband access would mention completed cabinets, work scheduled etc so that the ones waiting for faster (than 3Mbps) can at least have some hope. I mentioned in a previous post re possible FTTH to my lane., BBfN said maybe by spring 2018 or later

Which cabinet are you on? I can try to find out for you.
Unfortunately a lot of councils sign the deals for broadband, but then don't retain the staff to keep the websites updated or respond to requests for updates. I've seen some councils that are extremely proactive giving lots of updates and then some councils who say next to nothing.

HI Andy
I am on Walcott cab 2 EAWCT but too far from the cab to order fibre but as I said there are notices in the lane and nearby mentioning new "fibre/broadband pole with attachments" ref 73 YAL so that is why I hope it will be FTTH and possibly this year, maybe...
i check roadworks.org daily for any possible work planned

Thanks very much! I had looked at this file before but the postcode for the telephone number isn't listed and I tried contacting Connected Counties but they were useless. If the cabinet is being upgraded, that should be fine, even though it is not listed here.
There is nothing shown in roadworks.org for the next 12months...

BT's notice of roadworks is only usually a couple of weeks.
Just because there's nothing showing for the next 12 months doesn't mean nothing will happen in the next 12 months.
