I have just had a phone call with BT sales about getting FTTP connection.
Exchange is Caxton and cabinet is 108.
All other properties at the same postcode cb23 6bz connect to the same cabinet and are able to order ultra fast broadband. Mine is the only property that cannot and I can only get adsl at 1mb. There is no active phone line, but they say even if I order a phone line it won't make any difference.
They mentioned the capacity of the cabinet could be reached. Is there any way of checking?
Any help would be appreciated.

FTTP or do you mean FTTC ? You mention a cabinet, but not required for P.

It will be FTTP, would need to know which property to investigate but in the first instance the provider you want to order from should be doing the chasing for the customer, and when that all fails I can do some checking.

It definitely says FTTP. The area is Cambourne, Cambridge and the whole area is FTTP enabled.

The property is number 11. I just called BT to get the phone line and broadband package but they couldn't order me fibre broadband. Not sure any other providers service this address.

OK, so one of these weird address/computer says no anomalies then ?

Sometimes, ordering the phone line (even though it's not needed) prompts a database update.

So did they just do the computer says no, and ignore your point that others can (and do you know have ordered it)
If it was a capacity issue, then would have expected the checker in the past to have said you can order and then change wording to talk about a capacity type issue.

Yes, they did the computer says no and ignored my point that others can order it. If I check other properties, checker says they can order, not that capacity has been reached.

May have to try this and cancel the line if I don't get anywhere in 14 days.

You'd need to wait for the line to become active, so wouldn't be able to cancel.

As far as I have seen, with FTTP there is no capacity issue message that gets displayed.
Its either you can get it or you cannot.
So its either no fibres left, or its a DB error, my guesses is its full.
FTTP for your postcode went live around 22nd October 2012, so I think the DP is full.
So sadly you will have to wait and hope they add another DP.

Why would it be full?
If that was the case it would show as not available to anyone.
The OP is the only property without it showing as available. Screams database error.

Can the original poster email me and will skip isp layer to see what is going on
It may be that ordering the phone line does resolve things, but it is a big IF

Number 17 gets an address match but no data at all.
The oddest thing is that all the other 17 addresses show ADSL2+ as Capacity expected 31 May 2017 though ADSL Max is available.
Just like the OP's.

Not with FTTP.
With FTTP everyone can order it and once they all get allocated the remaining won't show it as available.
Which is might be the case here.
Now for the OP those 16 or so addresses are probably on different poles and DP's and when it was installed back in 2012 everyone on their pole ordered.
Just like on my phone pole and DP here there are 30+ lines, over 20 or so addresses, now DSL Checker and BTOR Where and when page says we all can order FTTP, sadly only the first 12 can order FTTP, and once the 12th has ordered FTTP the remaining wont be able to and the DSL Checker etc will not show it as available to them.
Basically when the FibreDP is full it will only show it available to the addresses that have it.

Number 17 doesn't have a District ID or a NadKey that's why it doesn't show anything.
This is why the BTOR Where and when page doesn't show number 17 in its list.
I am guessing the DP is just full and that's why the OP cannot order it.
I might be wrong, but that's what I think.
