Re your opening post, I thought you said you aren't obsessive? It's the third post of your stats in three days. Your line is performing normally. I doubt if any line is perfect 24 hours after installation.
Not only is William obsessing, but there is no such thing as a 'perfect' line outside the textbooks. All lines are inherently imperfect - there is attenuation, crosstalk, common mode noise and other effects in play.
William - stop looking at the statistics; you'll only stress yourself. Store a copy away for reference and glance at them occasionally unless you have service affecting fault or notice a serious performance deterioration. Even if you care about small and essentially insignificant changes in your statistics, Openreach don't, so nothing will be done about the change. Indeed, Openreach will usually do nothing about a fairly hefty drop in sync speed due to additional crosstalk; they've taken the (perfectly reasonable) decision to invest in additional FTTP and G.FAST rather than deploying vectoring on VDSL2. It isn't feasible to send an engineer to switch a user to a different D side pair every time the user notices increasing crosstalk and there is no guarantee that a better pair is available. Even if Openreach did carry out a pair swap, there is no guarantee that a pair that is better initially will not succumb to greater crosstalk in the future.
Most of the time DLM behaves fairly sensibly, though you have to remember it aims to stabilise lines rather than eke out the last bit of available speed. Openreach's FTTC DLM is not perfect, but it does a pretty good job most of the time.
FTTC is intended to be fit and forget, not fit and tweak incessantly. It's a low cost product that is provided on the basis that there is a reasonably high threshold for an issue to be accepted as a fault.
