I have recently noticed a G Fast Pod has been recently installed in my cabinet. However, the area I live in isn't in current G Fast Trial.
Any idea when the service will be available to us?
I am currently connected to cabinet 21 in the High Wycombe area.

What does the Openreach when and where checker say?
How far from the cab are you?

I'm in Bath, & G Fast pods are popping up on cabinets everywhere last few weeks, hopefully my cab will be getting one.
Nothing on the Checker about them yet.

Nothing on the OR checker. I have noticed a couple of G Fast Pods being installed around the High Wycombe area.
I live about half a mile away from the cabinet. I doubt I'll benefit from G Fast

Sure they're G.fast pods not copper extensions?
A few people have made that mistake.

Where? Can't say I've spotted any yet.

Do you have/can you take a picture? Might just be copper extension. Are there ventilation grills?
I'm on Wycombe too, and I haven't seen any G.Fast pods, or much activity bar the usual OR connecting people up.

Cabinet 43 in High Wycombe has had work undertaken last week, looks like an extension box for more lines and not g.fast...I was excited initially but reality soon kicked in

Those are exactly the same grilled pods they installed on my local cabinet! I'll take a picture on my way home from work.
A couple of months ago I had a OR engineer visit me to check out a speed fault with my service. He mentioned my local cabinet is in line to get G Fast. I was skeptical at statement as I felt it was just saying that to keep me happy.

Someone mentioned an OR engineer doing something at the cabinet I'm connected to, had a tent up for a while and some barricades. I haven't checked however to see if it's possibly a G.Fast pod. Maybe they're slowly rolling them out? Well, even if it is I doubt I'll either be able to get it or if I am able to get it I imagine the estimated speed will be near to what I get now with VDSL2 due to the distance (approximately up to 500 meters by road).

Also noticed they have done the one next to colleagues house on the bend up the wellsway but not the one just on up a bit ( might be to far away from kingsmead)

I know the one you mean next to the pub. I guess its connected to combe down exchange but I do wonder if its too far away...

It appears they are slowly rolling them out places outside the trial area. Maybe they might expand on inital trial.
I am very doublt I'll benefit as my cabinet is half a mile away.
