Unstable Fibre Broadband

Hi

I think this may noise related but just thought i would double check and ask for advice before contacting TT.

Since early this year round March I would say possibly earlier, The fibre connection has been slow, the DLM keeps dropping the sync speed and have been around 20mb for a while then recently over past couple of months it has got worse. It started off when by I assume a noise spike on my line sends the SNR down into the minuses and the internet cuts out and have to manually reboot the HG612. Afterwards the sync will be a lot lower around 16mb but has never improved and has recently slowed to 14mb and just earlier the line fell on itself again and SNR shot down into the minuses (see stats below). after i rebooted the sync speed was 11mb which is ridiculous and below my guaranteed speed of 18mb and below the estimates by TT. Also for some reason my upload (which im not complaining about) has started syncing around 5mb. Haven't upgraded to the large package. I've only recently recontacted with the lower priced all in one fibre medium deal.

I am using the MK3 faceplate which has stabilized some elements such fluctuating SNR but no this sudden drop outs on the SNR.

Do you have an extension wiring?

If so, are you able to remove the faceplate from the MK3 and connect to the test socket using a filter?

No, the modem is plugged into the MK3 faceplate. There is no extensions connected to the Master socket or faceplate.

Thought so, Just one question, would Openreach charge if the slight cut out in the top of the master socket where an Ethernet cable used to run through, for modification? Or is likely they wont be bothered, that's the only thing that concerns me should an engineer comes round. Doubt they will be bothered about unlocked HG612.

Issue seems to self resolved itself. Looks like the DLM has oddly reset itself on my line possibly. I was on to talktalk support for a couple of hours going through usual rubbish of of it being the router/wifi and getting nowhere. So it ended on them saying there sending a replacement router, however about 25 mins ago the snr margin on hg612 was reporting 12.8db highest i've ever seen so i did a reboot to get the speed back and got he below stats. Can TalkTalk reset the line themselves now or do OR still need to it?

Only Openreach can reset the DLM.

EDIT: DLM doesn't appear to have changed? INP and delay are the same. Doesn't appear DLM has reset or improved from what I can see.
