Yep, they have no idea what the problem is, when the BTOR engineer put his test equipment on my line in the house, he does not get any sync, whihc is the same as my ECI and plusnet equipment, so he went up to the cabinet and he gets the same readings there, he can not get a sync there, so it is not my line. He phoned what I presume is their support centre and they have no idea either, but by all accounts it should be working. they have no idea why it works with Huawie modems and no other.
I got my modem yesterday I grabbed from ebay and that works fine. Plusnet is going to send me a Zyxel router as they said it seems the hub one is not compatible with my cabinet, but if that is true then since it is based on a BT home hub then surly my next door neighbours would
have the same problem and other people with different equipment on the same cabinet.
We will see what this new router does, to be honest i am ok with the way it is as it is working, I am using the modem I got from ebay, and I connected the hub one via wan as it have better Wi-fi than my old TP-link.
BTOR is going to keep working on it and is going to make an appointment a fibre engineer to have a look as it is confusing them, I love confusing people. Since i can get broadband I do find it rather funny, even if I paid out £18 for a modem. Oh well, the ECI one is useful to keep just in case someone else have a problem.
this post is a bit rushed as I now have to go back to work after 5 days off, :{
