Why would a FTTC cabinet be replaced prior to activation?

FTTC cab was installed in June, and was hoping for activation imminently - [http://forums.thinkbroadband.com/fibre/t/4550396-how-long-from-cabinet-build-to-available.html]

But this week they have removed the green cab, and today I see a new one (Huawei packaging) on the back of a truck.

Why might they be replacing the cab at this stage? Wrong one originally installed? Problems connecting power? And more importantly, will it push back activation?!

Was the old cab Huawei or ECI? Or maybe installing a different sized one, or issues found with other once unpacked and on ground.

Should not delay things, as the harder elements are getting ducts to cab (which should be done by now) and power and the fibre. Standing the cab is usually fairly quick

The cabinet that WAS there, looked like a Huawei AIO (the very bottom one on this page: http://www.kitz.co.uk/adsl/fttc-cabinets.htm ).

I've not seen the new one yet, as it's still in the cardboard packaging on the back of the truck, with a Huawei logo on the box.

Change of plans as the all in one is not sufficient for the new development so a Pcp and H288 are going in

Will it get connected up and powered during this same period of roadworks - and therefore hopefully still due live by November? Or likely to be delayed with this change of cabinet?

Unfortunately, nobody knows what will actually happen. The power company (UKPN mostly, or someone contracting for them) will have to be called out to connect the LV cable, even if it has already been run there for the AIO cabinet, as OR or their contractors aren't allowed to do it.
