It means that your line is most likely stuck in a banded profile. In this instance, on the DS side. If you could post your line stats, I can confirm this for you.

Ouch! That needs sorting out! You should be syncing closer to at least 40 Mb! With regards to attenuation, yes I partly agree, as it can be affected by lots of external factors, but it is the best figure to use, if you want to estimate your line length.

Not a lot, but how else are you supposed to estimate and I stress ESTIMATE your line length without a JDSU?

Ah, it's not banded, you just have either a slightly poor quality line or heavy amounts of crosstalk.

No, but you may have a fault. Please can you tell us if the router is connected to the master socket and can you paste the result of your phone number (if on BT) or your address (please blank this out) from this link.
