Faulty BTW Speedtest on new Firefox version

The new firefox version 56.0 both on Windows 7 Pro SP1 and Windows 10 Pro has a faulty incorrect speed test result via http://speedtest.btwholesale.com

But everything was fine on IE11 for Windows 7 Pro SP1, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge for Windows 10.

Firefox: 23Meg down 8Meg up
Chrome: 74Meg down 17Meg up
IE11: 73Meg down 16Meg up
Edge: 75Meg down 18Meg up

Maybe you should update to 56.0.1

Never was intended as a day to day speed test anyway, so unless you have a fault not sure why you are worried.

No, it just to warn other if other think something wrong with speed via btw on firefox. That's all. There seem a bug on Firefox version 56.0 for BTW speedtest.

I doubt it has anything to do with Firefox. I just got a result of about 38Mbps using Chrome, way below other testers.

I have just tested using the BTW speed tester and the latency has gone up by about 10ms and the down test is about 4Mbps less.
So it might be that the BTW tester is not working as normal or it is just a bad night on the internet.?
BTW I use IE 11 and Windows 7 pro 64 SP1.

I use 32 bit Firefox on 64 bit W10.

IE and Firefox give similar results, but the upload speed test is seven times slower than what this site can manage!. That might not be a problem for BT retail customers as even their FTTP products don't have that fast an upload speed.

As an actual speed test it has always had flaws and no idea of the server and connectivity it has, but the wholesale tester was never intended as a massed speed test solution, but rather something for diagnostic use occasionally.
