Advice needed on Fibre connection

I'm looking at buying a house so I'm trying to find out what Fiber options are available for me.
Looking at the BT BROADBAND AVAILABILITY CHECKER based on the address I get :

What I'd like to know is if I can pay BT to install a new line in a bid to get a faster Fibre speed or what my options are on FTTP.

Following the line of the road the distance from the house to the cabinet is approx 500m.

Does anyone have any advice on doing this ? What are my options even if I have to page £xxx to get this at a faster rate.

A new line is not likely to give faster VDSL2 speeds

FTTP is the on demand variant, so business type pricing and 3 year contract, see other threads with people talking about Cerberus and FluidOne for pricing examples

At present cheapest FTTPoD 330/30 Mbps package is £165 per month (ex vat) from Cerberus on a 36 month min term with installation costs anywhere between £2k to £10k+ - all depends on how far your property is from your nearest aggregation node. After 36 months you can migrate to a cheaper 'native' FTTP service such as BT Infinity 4.

You would need to call the above ISPs for a price as the quote is tailored for your premises.

Thanks that's a bit more per month than I was looking to spend.

Is there any option on paying BT to fit a better line ? Not to bothered if that costs a bit, if that means I get a faster connection. Are there any options around that ?

A second line will 99.9% of the time take exactly the same D side cable route to the cab, and therefore produce very similar sync rates ...

Have you thought of bonding two FTTC circuits together ?

If you bond FTTC circuits would that mean I could present one of two IP Addresses ?
That would cause an issue for me as I remotely access sites which validation on my IP.

OK, was only a thought.

It's a great idea if it will increase my speed.
Just trying to work out what the possible downsides are.
