Neighbours have FTTP - How can I get it?

[link to this post]

My street has been FTTP-enabled for about 5 years, but I never signed up for it at the time.

The houses either side and opposite all have it.

Now the ADSL is playing up and I figure we need the extra bandwidth... but new sign-ups don't seem to be possible any more. BT say there's no more capacity.

It's daft that we're in a street full of fibre but can't have it ourselves. Is there anybody we can contact directly at Openreach to get something done about it (or even look into whether it might be a database error?)

You need to email me in the morning with the details and will do the usual checks and pester Openreach accordingly, which is no more than the provider itself should be doing for you
