...until this week were still showing as Pending-EO line and In Scope but now show as being on a fibre enabled cabinet with the note Your cabinet is enabled for fibre, but you are too far from the cabinet to get an increased connection speed so are still stuck with a maximum of 3Mb connection (which is often much less) which is painful having had superfast broadband for years in the South East of England. Not sure what will happen next as we were hoped that being in scope would mean wed get a cabinet eventually, not that theyd change us to a cabinet that were too far from to get the benefit.
That's been the same situation as us, same checker message, same rubbish ADSL. We are on an rural Nottinghamshire EO line back to the exchange, which is several miles away. We were beginning to think that fibre would never come, and were repeatedly told that there was nothing on the horizon, but we now have a shiny new All-In-One cabinet waiting to be connected to a cluster of 20 properties.
So, there is hope. Perhaps it might be worth giving your MSP a nudge, giiven the Scottish Government's commitment to 100% superfast broadband coverage by 2021 - it's not that far away.
