Apologies, been here before but...
New build estate. Last July there was no sign of fibre. Someone reliable here said there was a capacity problem with no signs of increasing or adding a new cabinet. Openreach said much the same. All bad. Then in September -ish fibre became available both for the as yet unbuilt addresses and people already moved in. All good.
But now I'm ready to order a phone and broadband connection, guess what, "waiting list".
Can anyone give me a steer as to the capacity at Cabinet 20 on Halfway. Either OR didn't add enough capacity last year to account for all the new builds under construction or the cabinet has actually now reached capacity.
I'm now back to wondering if its even worth having a line installed. Apparently we're 3.3km from the exchange, the DSL Checker says up to 3.5Mbps which isn't worth bothering about - never mind the £28 a month.
