What does the BT Broadband checker look like for FTTP?

This is a report for a local business:

Fine with FTTPoD line - but do you get a different line *if* the premises could get FTTP without the on-demand bit? The WBC FTTP available column confuses me - is this something at the exchange?

If native FTTP is available you would see WBC FTTP in the left hand column under featured products. I agree the WBC FTTP availability date column is rather confusing.

That�s simply because you paid for FTTPoD. The result of that is FTTP is now available if you choose to have a second installation.

Nope, we had FTTP installed just over a year ago (October 2016) I.e. no install charge at all, and then November 2017 they installed FTTC for the lower part of my road, so we now have access to both.

Lucky guy - I guess I come across so many issues because Bollington is semi-rural and people kind of expect better. Common call is "But we're only a few miles from civilisation" smile

Don't get me wrong, I had to jump through loads of hoops, also had to get my local MP involved and loads of emails sent to the top people in BT to get the database updated, all the hardware had been there since 2011 - 2012, it was just their system that said no.

The FTTC was where BT changed their mind about FTTP after it was all installed, so I guess installing FTTC, moving all the phone lines over to the new PCP was cheaper than sending their engineers out for FTTP.

Its a bit like Left hand Right hand with BT.
