Hi,
Could someone do me a favor to measure the new FTTP all-in-one box?
https://postimg.org/image/6x7lnrxdx/
Some of our neighbours are cramped for space apparently, so want to plan it properly! Also, you still need a CSP on the outside all for a 1 stage install!?? (See this blog: http://blog.cerberusnetworks.co.uk/technical-briefin...
Thanks

Where I've seen the connectorised installs the fibre goes straight into the building, no CSP or splicing, black outer is stripped off and a connector added before plugging into ONT

Yes, that's exactly how it works for mine. The cable came from the connector on the pole to my house and through into my utility cupboard. The cable was stripped back and wrapped inside the base of the ONT.
I have taken some photos including measurements for you - sorry lighting and angle is a bit dodgy. https://imgur.com/gallery/4pOti

If space is at that much of a premium, the ONT and BBU might be unclipped out of the housing and hung separately
(need to be close enough for the leads between the two)
Can see the guts in this one

@Jabes, you dont have a mastersocket do you? I have seen pictures with people having a mastersocket with a switch FVA/copper. So you can just opt out of that or what there no option to have it in the first place?

Hm... you gotta sign in on this one. Mind to try something like https://postimages.org?

Very few doing the FVA anyway ... but yes, just tell the installer you dont want it, or that youll plug a phone direct into the ONT if and when you decide to use it.

Sorry .... anyone know if theres a setting I can change to make it visible to all ?

I was just given a wire to connect up to the Master Socket and told to just remove the two wires from the copper line once FVA when live.
So I did.
The line is a lot better than it was before, no more high pitch whining / screeching over the phone, no more dead line when it become windy and when it rained.

LOL, that could be it Rob
I know BT was aware of the issue, but that was over a year ago and the BTWholesale DSL Checker still fails along with the BTOR Where and when page not recognizing the number.
I was tempted on connecting my meter / test gear to the old line to see if there is line voltage on it.
I know there was a month after FVA was activated when I terminated it correctly in the BT80 Box.

I wasnt joking though. Audible noise was on your copper line. On FVA you dont go anywhere near that. You have a strand of glass fibre. Not subject to electromagnetic noise pickup.
Its like saying the engine noise of your car stopped when you swapped it for a Tesla .

Oh I know, I was refering to how crisp and clear the phone is on FVA, we had gotten use to hearing the noise etc when it was on the copper like, thats what I was saying.

Mine was an additional FTTPoD, so already had analogue voice into the building. So no I don't have one connected to the fibre.
