FTTP Speed in Checker

If FTTP is available (not FTTPoD) in the checker, should it show up to 330Mbps or a higher speed given I understand higher speeds are available or will soon be available?

For download still usually shows the maximum of 330 Mbps

At present no ISP sells anything greater than 330 Mbps on Openreach based FTTP, however once BT Wholesale start selling the 0.5 and 1 Gig services to ISPs then the BT/Openreach checker will update to reflect this. When exactly this will happen is anyone's guess...

Thank you. Presumably any existing FTTP installation will be able to purchase the higher speed tiers once they become available.

Only on the (majority) Huawei deployments, ECI FTTP is limited at 330 for now.
Though it will be a while before you see these speed tiers offered nationally, some CPs can offer this today.

Yeah mine says 50 too, sadly BT cannot provide me that yet for some reason, but that's fine, it will be something to look forward to later on

Nope, just that's its not, they are calling the 50Mbits up Ultrafast 1 and 2.

I think its a database issue in BT's Checker due to like I already said BTWholesale says its there, Zen's Systems says its available.

I was talking to an engineer the other day about it and they told me its down to the exchange needing upgrading to handle more bandwidth to support it.
Whether that was true or not I don't know.
