How To Find Out If Your Area Is In Line For Future FTTP?

[link to this post]

i was just wanting to know if anyone had any ideas on how to obtain this information.

When I was getting the FTTP Survey done as mentioned in the "unreal pricing" thread.

The Surveyor said he had seen in the records that someone was actually surveying the possibility of offering FTTP in my area but it was at the very first stages so they haven't even deemed if its cost effective to do in my area yet.

He never said who this was or anything - If its Virgin, Hyperoptic, Openreach or someone else. Or whatever else about this.

Is there anyway I can find out more about this. Such as a freedom of information request to someone - but who? Openreach? The local council? A part of the Government that handles surveying the land for possible updates? or someone else.

Any ideas?

Openreach if reporting on FTTP pricing - i.e .the unreal will only have visibility of their own deployments.

Openreach is adding around 2.5 million more FTTP premises in the next couple of years - it will mention FTTP on the way at https://www.homeandbusiness.openreach.co.uk/fibre-br... is they've made a decision.

Local authorities as part of the BDUK process will have some visbility of the commercial plans for the next three years BUT
a) No obligation to say where you are going
b) No obligation to deliver to an area you are saying you are going commercially
c) Some of the commercial plans will also be out of date

I would actually add to that in some cases the time table for installs has slipped, take for instance hampshire, their dmcs installs are now running post march and into september onwards ..

My area has gone from being done by june 2018 (ish) to early stages, with ultra weird mapping on the Hampshire website.
