Aberdeen NSLNG cab 71 (planned) any info?

[link to this post]

Asking for a friend i've not spoken to in a while and his cab still isn't enabled after 4 years he has asked before with the following answers "planned" or "soon" by his ISP Plusnet

Anyone have info whats going on here?

i've check BTO w&w it just says they are working with the government to find a solution whatever that means it shouldn't be so hard right

every other cab around him has been enabled

there is a covered up VDSL2 cab in blue plastic on the other side of road for about 16 months.

Seems cab 71 was put on hold from the commercial program, possibly due to costs.
Cab 23 opposite was damaged and is waiting replacement but is in service.

It seems that the cab is now replaced over the road and with an extension for more cards?

but yeah this cab is still without a fibre twin what a shame looks like it will never happen

my friend moved in around 2015 and was told a few times its just months away SAD!

A friend of mine is on the Same Exchange, think he's Cab 70 or 73. No VDSL cab on it, probably due to majority business lines and they don't want to cannibalize Leased Line sales?

Regardless, he can get 50mbps from Three, so I am mounting na external LTE receiver on Saturday for him, which will then be load balanced with the DSL to hopefully give him a better service,

He can see the exchange less than 100m away from his window, but can't get above 20mbps

Do you happen to know if NSDEN 37 is due for a VDSL Twin at any point soon?

Currently have a horrendous time getting an OR Leased Line installed and the DSL speed is killing a business which is connected to it

Is Vodafone (cityfibre) not available to you?

My place in Torry can get 1Gbps for £48 a month

Nope, Torry, Northfield and Kincorth only at the moment, but this is ramping up fast
