Hi
I recently took out Now TV Fibre broadband up to 40mb speeds.
Whilst my download speed is 30mb, the upload speed is less than 1mb (usually around 0.5mb).
When I check the router stats page, it shows this:
https://i.imgur.com/OiNkCOy.jpg
(Connection speed: 37230 kbps down, 1247 kbps up. Line attentuation: 24.6dB down, 0.0 dB up. Noise margin: 3.4dB down, 6.6dB up)
Does anyone have any ideas what could be going on here?

Did you have FTTC with some other ISP before this, or were you on ADSL2+? What were the comparable figures there?
Even if they have put you on the Openreach 40/2 product your upstream is surprisingly low.
If you could put your Address into the address option on the BT Wholesale checker that might help us. (On Sky and Now the phone number option doesn't work so far as I know).
My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk. Domains, site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - AAISP Home::1 80/20. 200GB. Sync 70745/12295Kbps @ 600m. BQMs - IPv4 & IPv6

How is the router connected and have you tested the connection using the master socket test socket? i.e. remove the lower front half of the faceplate and test in the socket that is revealed

Hi,
We had ADSL. Download speed was ~15mb. I didn't pay attention to the upload speed, but I'm pretty sure it was faster than what I have now.
We switched from Sky to Now TV, so is there a chance they left the upload speed at the ADSL setting?
I've filled in that website: https://ibb.co/m6bmkK
Predicted upload speed on DSL checker is 5.5-8mb

It's connected directly to the socket with a now tv provided filter. We had an openreach engineer (line engineer) come on Friday 31 Aug, and he said the line was fine. He said that a special broadband engineer was the one that could fix this, and he only looked at the line itself.
Also, wouldn't an issue with the wiring affect my download speed? The download link speed is over 37mb ...

Hi,
In case it's helpful, here is the Openreach engineer's report:

I don't know why he said "neither did they report a broadband issue". The report seems quite different to what he said whilst at the property.

Some noise issues or line card or configuration issues can impact the upload or download or both.

Those notes are not typed. They are auto generated based on what the engineer answers to the questions presented to him/her on their iPhone app.
So they can seem a little odd at times.

Not possible. When you were on ADSL2+ the signal was coming from Skys DSLAM in the telephone Exchange. Now that youve switched to VDSL2 the broadband is being generated by Openreachs DSLAM next to your cabinet. Also Sky and Now TV is the same thing. Now TV is just a Sky brand.

Sorry, I forgot to reply to this . Then I saw the post Icaras just made and once I worked out why he posted it I realised that.
His reply is correct of course. The reason for my question was precisely what he says. If you had been on FTTC before then we might have been able to compare figures with now, but as you were on ADSL2+ we couldn't.

... agreed.
And from those question based closure notes it is clear that the fault raised was a CDTA (conscious discision to appoint) ..... the cheapest option for the service provider, PQ test ( which had an amber result I see) and check for line noise ......
Useless.
The OP needs to ring the CP and insist they book an SFVA job, and also point out that they WERE NOT reporting a voice issue, so WILL NOT be paying the charges for right when tested if the CP passes them on to the customer.
