FTTP Rollout - LVCHI

[link to this post]

My area (Served by Liverpool Childwall) has been swarming with OpenReach engineers recently, all our telephone poles now have 2 12-port Corning Fibre termination boxes at the top of them. I'm assuming this is part of Fibre First for Liverpool. I'd like to know a go-live date but am having absolutely no luck finding anything. Anyone know any details?

Yes its part of Fibre City for Liverpool, no idea of go live dates. I would imagine it will just be done as and when the distribution point is ready. Rather than one big switch on.

I'm also in Childwall and would love to know when this is going to go live. I'm currently on BT Superfast Fibre 2 Unlimited but don't get anywhere near the max speed. Does anyone know if/how you get migrated over to FTTP when it goes live?

Migration is controlled by you, since there is no migration i.e. you have to decide to order the service.

Sorry for the bump but the Openreach checker now shows FTTP as being available to order in Childwall. It doesn't seem to be available through BT yet but Full Fibre packages are offered by Zen when I checked with my phone number on their website.

Hmm, I wonder if it's as close as I thought? The BT ADSL checker says WBC FTTP (330/50) is planned but doesn't say when it'll be available. It also says:

Our records show the following FTTP network service information for these premises:- Single Dwelling Unit Residential OH Feed with no anticipated issues.

FTTP is in Planned status. An order may be placed which will be processed when the network is ready.

Does anyone have any idea how long it usually takes for FTTP to go live when the checker is showing the above?

Sadly its not so simple as a set time period. Its can go quick or slow depending on other factors or delays.

Cab areas 19,21,22,14 all seem to have live GEA-FTTP on them

Ah, I'm on cab 7. Is there a way that I can check the status of my cab area?

There is some on cab 7 - the FTTP roll-out while it will follow the ducting paths that exist you will find that some parts of a cabinet area get missed out, or are done later.

If https://www.zen.co.uk/home/broadband/superfast-fibre say you can ultrafast broadband order then it is live
