g.fast @ Camberley exchange

[link to this post]

As far as I was aware neither g.fast or FTTP was available from the Camberley exchange.
I received an email from my ISP Zen about g.fast so i used their tool expecting to be rejected, but it came back saying i could get g.fast and so call, so I did. According to Zen g.fast is enabled at the Cambrley exchange but my cab is not enabled. Is this really true, are Open reach rolling out to locations not listed ? Hard to believe. If they are how could i get my cabinet enabled ?

Many Thanks

Andrew

G.Fast is a per cabinet installation - there is relatively little to enable "at the exchange". BT plan the rollout to cabs - there will be very few exchanges that have G.Fast on every connected cabinet. There is also likely to be little you can do to get BT to enable your cab if it isn't in their plans already as they are now starting to move their targets from G.Fast to FTTP so it is unlikely they will be adding more cabs to the existing plans.

No exchange I know of that has G.fast on every cabinet.

As for Camberley does not ring any bells

NOTE: Existing plans cover the 1 to 1.5 million premises region, so more pods are coming if the 5.7 million target is to be reached.

We know of just shy of 1 million premises covered by the pods i.e. pod on cabinet, it is live and within distance range, there is more and some areas are seeing more pods activated in addition to existing ones.
