Hi all... I thought I'd share a bit of intregue with you.
I live in Great Yarmouth which was subject to a project lightning expansion last year until it was halted prematurely by VM.
Being only 100 yards from my house when it was stopped, I was annoyed. I contacted Virgin Media by writing to the top guy to ask if they would reconsider at any stage in the near future.
I found out previously that Norfolk County Council was being very difficult about how broken paving slabs were to be replaced. Great Yarmouth has a high number of paved pavements and the cost of replacing the various styles and sizes was proving prohibitive.
The reply I got by telephone, was that they were re-surveying Great Yarmouth too see if it is in scope for "A lower cost roll out method" than the 10cm channels and micro ducts they traditionally install.
Does anyone have any idea what is meant by that? Would they run cables overhead or in the sewers or something?
Any similar projects elsewhere?
