G.fast or something else?

[link to this post]

I have just driven past the fibre cab at the end of my street and noticed that it's been upgraded. It's a Huawei (128 line) one but now seems to have a new piece bolted to the right-hand side of it.

What is that likely to be? Would it just be to extend the cabinet to allow more lines? The PSP cab has also been updated to a newer one during the work BT carried out a few weeks ago.

I'll try and get a pic a little later. It's cab 3 on Tenby exchange (SWTB).

Gfast is attached to the copper cabinet, so if the VDSL2 is extended then this is to add more VDSL2 ports
