Re: Migrating G.Fast to another ISP

I still dont understand what youre asking. Switching to another ISP wont help your sync speed as youre still going to be connected to the same cabinet, and port. Granted youll get a DLM reset but in all likelihood your speeds will just settle to where they are now after a while.

As I understand it (though we dont have G.fast in my area so Ive never worked on it), vectoring is always turned on with G.fast.

I completely understand the sync speed will be the same; it was more the consistency of the throughput near the sync speed, more so latency that I was looking to improve by switching to a smaller ISP.

The main question was around people ideas on how I could switch given OR doesnt have a live migration option, so it's a cease & re-provision or a new line. It was as simple as, are those my only options or did anyone know of anything else I'd not considered.

Why are you looking for a way forward with BT?

Should this not be down to the gaining provider to sort out?
