Try this website. Works for me on BT. It shows the location of where I know my handover exchange is, rather than the town Im actually in.

Dont forget to click show me more for it to show you the postcode area.

Yeah but there is a Brackley in Scotland.

It's grim up north.
Better down south.

For a while the BBC weather site used to offer 'Brackley, Highland' as the top choice in the search bar but I see that they've fixed it and now 'my' Brackley is the default. A much more sensible arrangement since the former appears to be a large house just outside Inverness Airport as opposed to the thriving community of 14,000 where I live smile

Apparently I'm in London. The FTTC headend exchange here is Stockport, and when I was with Andrews and Arnold I was often seemingly located in Arnold.

Maybe it's because they discovered I once went to Arnold School.

Ummm - that is or was in Blackpool!

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk. Domains, site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Three 4G, tbb tests normally 35-45Mpbs down, 65Mbps off-peak, 9-24 up.

Well that sites Geo Location was spot on for me on my IPv4 + IPv6 addresses.

Loads of other Geo Location sites all show different locations, so I guess it depends on how up to date the database library is.

One site says I am in Sheffield which is 141 miles (birds eye) away from me, I am located about 3.3 miles (birds eye) from Telehouse in docklands.

But it was funny looking them up.

Exactly! Most other sites showed the wrong location but this one got it exactly right for my handover exchange.

Other people might have more success with other sites.

IT IS NOT TELLING YOU YOUR HANDOVER EXCHANGE

It is just a coincidence or the coming together of many factors that the IP is locating to that location.
