GEA-FTTP on the way?

[link to this post]

New here, found the forum from an old post that seemed to have useful insights to when exchanges might get FTTP.

We are on the Kelshall exchange, Cabinet 2. Various BT surveyors and contractors in the area over the last few months, alluding to "FTTP" on the way.

The telegraph poles passing our property have now gained fibre and components from the nearest "green box" (Sandon) to the next village (Green End).

Anybody able to post any info on BT plans, and possible FTTP timings would be much appreciated smile

Best wishes

There can be fibre installed on poles passing your property but that doesn't automatically mean FTTP will be available.
They generally don't do whole cabinets so unlikely everyone on cabinet 2 will get FTTP.

It could be that only specific properties are to be upgraded, usually those below "SuperFast" speeds (24Mb).

Can you check your address on:

https://www.connectedcounties.org/
and
https://www.openreach.com/

See if there's any mention of FTTP coming.

What's your current FTTC speed like?
