fitting new master socket

Openreach are shortly coming to investigate my slow broadband. I have a very old master socket. Are they likely to fit a newer master socket?

If they come ask him or her nicely if they replaced the old master socket to fitted new MK4 (these are pretty good) for VDSL

It depends on who you get, contractors might not, but BTOR Engineers probably might if you ask nice.

But there is a very good chance they will if they are coming out due to speed issues, I know when we had them out here nearly every few visits they would replace it, and do loads of tests to find out the cause for slowness.

I had the same problem a while ago the engineer took my antique master socket off the wall and showed me the inside it wasn't pretty, he swapped it for the one below and all was well again.
