Sky FTTP/G.Fast pricing leaked

[link to this post]

https://www.ispreview.co.uk/index.php/2019/08/isp-sk...

Sky Broadband Ultrafast 1 - 160/30 Mbps
£41.50 /m or £39 /m without Boost

Sky Broadband Ultrafast 2 - 330/50 Mbps
£51.50 /m or £49 /m without Boost

Will be fascinating to see how much they sell the FTTP 500/75 & 1000/115 services for (assuming Sky decide to sell them) now that Openreach have reduced the wholesale prices. I believe Openreach will start selling the revised top tiers very shortly.

Prices will be £39 for Ultrafast 1 and £49 for Ultrafast 2 without the Sky Broadband Boost add-on.

This can only be good news for the end user.

Competition is what is needed so will be watching other ISP's respond now.

It will be interesting to see what BT's sister companies now do

Atm its
BT - fttp, g.fast. vdsl, adsl
EE - g.fast. vdsl, adsl
Plusnet - vdsl, adsl

The big question is with plusnet, despite retraining all their staff for a [now] defunct trial they will not comment on fttp. Also plusnet and sky are direct competitors

But yes as others have said this will bring a much needed boost for g.fast/fttp.

While we are talking about new pricing structures has anyone seen any pricing on BT's 550 / 75 or 1000 / 115 packages yet.

Nope, BT don't sell it yet.

BT told me a while ago when BT Wholesale Checker first started showing those speeds, and they told me they have no plans as yet and are waiting for those speeds to become available to more areas and also how much interest it shows.

Plusnet will never have g fast or fttp. They only want to keep budget ADSL/ADSL2/FTTC
