Anyone know of a contact for this? A friend has been waiting over 6 weeks for a response to his application, and has emailed mailto:[email protected] with no response.

Error 404 on that link, surely they shouldn't be using the same name as another company

Found the site, that is not Community Fibre, that is Community fibre partnerships which sounds very different

At least I am not the only one confused! We are talking about the BT/OR 'Community' scheme. My friend put 19 addresses in over 6 weeks ago and has heard now't..

The team email account your friend is using ([email protected]) is monitored by the Openreach Community Fibre Partnerships managers here in the UK who are exactly the same people who liaise directly with the public on their projects. I am not sure why Angela, Jane or one of the other team members has not replied but I would suggest your friend politely emails the team account again with the required spreadsheet of properties and explains there has been no response in 6 weeks and requests that someone confirms receipt of the spreedsheet.

Good point, the Community Fibre Partnership managers who deal with these projects are usually very accommodating they are happy to give both office and mobile numbers so something has gone wrong somewhere.

Just double checked and it is smile

As previously said, worth keeping an eye on the spam folder.

Hope someone gets back to your friend, if your friend is serious about going through with this they may want to do some research on how to create a Community Interest Company (CIC) this is required to be able to sign contracts with Openreach.

OK boys and girls - not a sniff of even an acknowledgement. Is OR really serious about this? If so, does anyone have a way of placing a boot up their backsides?

Been done - far from inspiring. Looking now at TV exposure of the sorry state of Boris's 'promise' and the useless 'Community Fibre' scheme. Do OR actually have an office or do they sup Latte in a coffee bar all day?

Now going to see if Kim Mears, Managing Director of Strategic Infrastructure Development for Openreach (July 8th 'News' item) actually means what he said - found him on LinkedIn - or whether that was just PR spam.

Ah well - 'tis a modern world. What's in a gender? No gender given in LinkedIn nor in TBB item, so not being 'Claire' voyant (get it?). you pays your money and takes your chance.

'Tis not me communicating with Kim, by the way, so who cares?

Need to let you know that the gender-free approach seems to have woken someone up in OR.
