A G.fast pod has been installed on cab 10 Maesteg exchange in the last week.
This was a bit of a surprise as I haven't seen the Maesteg exchange on any upgrade lists.

I think it was FTTC capacity upgraded in your pod addition (G.fast are way too low for your area estimate from FTTC well below 50Mbps on Range A (need at least 65Mbps or more)

Telephone Exchange, Station Street, Maesteg, CF34 9AL

BT Wholesale Information
ADSL services are available on this exchange ADSL
ADSL MAX services are available on this exchange ADSL MAX
SDSL is not available on this exchange SDSL
21CN WBC services are available on this exchange 21CN WBC
FTTC services are available on this exchange FTTC
BT Openreach SAUID identifier code for the Maesteg exchange is SWMAL

Cabinet P10 FTTC Available from 7th June 2014, being expanded by August 2020 Phase BDUK Wales 11b 555 Huawei CF34 9GA

Mine was installed, sat there for 2 years and it wasn't until Openreach's press office were contacted for comments on why that and some other pods were taking so long to be made live that things happened.

The country is somewhat largely than Madeley, Telford.

Building better networks, not just faster ones.
