First post! How should a FTTC copper cable be terminated?

[link to this post]

Hello

Apologies if incomplete question. Newbie here.

Had some outages/interruptions this weekend. Then complete line failure. Remedies (in part) 5 December but I have some doubts about the work. Please see the photo of the point at which the copper cable passes from the depths to the external junction box. There is an exposed (75mm) section of copper cable passing into the box. There is no mechanical support at the entry and the cables are free to move about. I haven't opened the box. https://photos.google.com/search/_tra_/photo/AF1QipO...
Fault must have been due to external interference, as cables were damaged. Corvids, or squirrel most likely! Cable remade (insulating tape?) but still unsecured and open to damage. Have raised the issue with UW as the cause of the fault has not been fixed. Am I right, or am I being fussy? Thanks.

Your supplied link won't open for me.....

corvids ??

"Corvidae is a cosmopolitan family of oscine passerine birds that contains the crows, ravens, rooks, jackdaws, jays, magpies, treepies, choughs, and nutcrackers. In common English, they are known as the crow family, or, more technically, corvids."

..... really unlikely to be the cause.

Why unlikely? We have magpies who strip loose bits of roofing felt from sheds. Squirrel are known to chew cables.
However the issue is whether the cable should be better installed. Something has caused the cable to fail.

Could you please resolve the issue with the photo link, this will then help us all understand what you're referring too.

It look like you have not made the picture(s) public. Im getting a google login page.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk. Domains, site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Three 4G, tbb tests normally 35-45Mpbs down, 65Mbps off-peak, 9-24 up.

You need to update the link to one that doesn't need us to login to Google to see it
