Hi,
FTTC became available in my cabinet a few weeks ago. I am currently with Sky (just signed about 2 months ago !!!!). BT online shows (and has also verbally offered) that I can order Fibre but Sky say its not available ?
The Checker says WBC FTTC is available for my address.
Is this normal that BT (and looks like Plusnet) say I can get it but Sky can't - I thought they had stopped Openreach offering preferential treatment to BT ?
Thanks

Openreach are impartial.
There will be a different reason why Sky cannot offer service yet. No link in place at the serving exchange maybe ?

The Exchange Checker shows that Sky LLU Operator Presence in my exchange - or are you talking about something that Sky have to do in the exchange beyond this ?

Sky LLU Operator Presence in my exchange Historically this meant that Sky has installed MASN's in the exchange for ADSL. For FTTC all ISP's use Openreach's DSLAM's in the cabs however they need to purchase cable links from Openreach to connect to Sky's equipment and backhaul.

Adding: Possibly at a different exchange altogether.
My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk. Domains, site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Three 4G, tbb tests normally 35-45Mpbs down, 65Mbps off-peak, 9-24 up.

I've be surprised if Sky does not have a presence in any handover exchange this days. Given the name of the primary exchange I can tell poster their handover exchange and cross check if others can order via Sky.

Hi, it's Canonbury and it's Cabinet 22

In this case that exchange is its own handover I believe
Cannot see any cab capacity issues

100% agree. And its a testament to them that so many of their staff will say that unprompted.
