FTTP Underground DP

[link to this post]

Around my area I see FTTP equipment appearing at the top of the telegraph poles.

I was just wondering, is there also a method to provide FTTP for below ground DP's?

Absolutely. Aggregation nodes, splitters and connectorised block terminals can all exist in underground chambers. They generally sit on a hinged metal arm, which is horizontal when the chamber is closed but can be raised into a vertical position when the chamber lid is open for easy access.

EDIT: there are some pictures linked from this article, including a 12-port CBT in a chamber.
