Opalsgroup - who are they ?

[link to this post]

Just saw some vans installing fiber from OpalsGroup outside my house.

Who are they installing for ? Openreach or someone else ?

Unless it is TalkTalk.

Carphone Warehouse bought a firm called Opal Telecom, which already had at least one subsidiary. Soon after, CPW created TalkTalk from it.

A while later it also bought Tiscali and soon afterwards Tiscali was included in TalkTalk before TT was demerged from CPW.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk. Domains, site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Three 4G, tbb tests normally 35-45Mpbs down, 65Mbps off-peak, 9-24 up.

They work on behalf of OpenReach on certain projects. They were involved in parts of the G.Fast rollout.
