Fibre City FTTP

Quinns have been clearing duct blockages in our area in preparation for FTTP to be rolled out and I have watched with anticipation as they have methodically worked around the local area for the last few months.
Given the amount of time and effort that has been involved, I was surprised to see that they haven't bothered to use the newly cleared duct system to feed the poles in our vicinity and instead fed four poles overhead from a newly installed central pole.
Talking to the guys clearing the ducts it was a clear run in our road after they had sorted a couple of minor blockages.
If they weren't going to use the ducts why bother clearing them.

Nobody really knows how they rollout or even plan their expansion lol

The duct space maybe for the spine cable, a PIA order or something unrelated
