Cornwall FTTP

[link to this post]

Hi there,

I've received a quote from Community Fibre Team to install FTTP for 12566 GBP "total gap cost"

With 2x rural business grants of 7000GBP (two premises). Total install cost is reduced to 5566GBP.

Together with a DCMS grant 2x1700GBP (aka Gigabit Voucher?), the cost to install FTTP comes down to 2166GBP.

Some more background can be found upon https://natalian.org/2019/10/19/Community_Fibre/

Took about 6 months of back and forth with BT to get here. Signing now.

Hope this will mark the end of my broadband woes.

Could be worse. Could be in Australia with NBN. wink

I think you will still have to pay the VAT on the install cost, regardless of vouchers.

Might be wrong though!
