Hi all
I have recently upgraded from Fiber 250 to Fiber 900.
The problem I am having is that I am still getting the same download speed as before about 300 Down but the upload has gone up from 50 to 110.
I'm wondering if anyone is having the same issues?

Which router are you using? The BT one, or a third party?

I have tried both the new BT router and I have a Nighthawk R8000P, they are both giving back the same results.

How are you connecting to the router? Ethernet, wifi, HomePlugs or something else? Maybe one of these?
My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk. Domains, site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Three 4G, tbb tests normally 35-45Mpbs down, 65Mbps off-peak, 9-24 up.

If you're connecting over WiFi that'll explain things.
No need to reboot the ONT so don't worry about that.

I have tried Both wired and Wireless and get the same results.

Yes i have no change

Is the router wired direct to the ONT, or through cabling to elsewhere in the house?

Try using the thinkbroadband speed tester and posting the results. it should show more detail..

if after resetting router to defaults the issue remains then possible when the profile changes were done by Openreach something did not get updated correctly, or the ISP is running a profiling system and has not updated things on its side for the download.

I had wondered if this might kick start the apparently stuck regrade process.

Another possibility is that the PC itself can only handle 300Mbps. I've seen this with poor-quality NICs under Windows, and I've seen people report that anti-virus software creates the bottleneck.
Upgrading your PC's NIC to an Intel-based one may help.
But if you can test with a different PC - or run a Linux live distribution on the same hardware, or borrow a Mac - this may also give you a clue.

Upgrading your PC's NIC to an Intel-based one may help. Shouldn't be necessary, I've seen on-motherboard Realtek handle gigabit (940 megabit) without hassle. Where I have seen issues is with legacy PCI slots connected Ethernet, or USB connected Ethernet, typically on these really slim laptops.

I upgraded from 250 to 900 like you last week, but I had the opposite issue.
My download speeds increased to just under 900mbps at about 7pm on the day of the regrade, but my upload speed stayed at 50mbps for several days.
Then just before I was about to chase the issue up, the upload speed increased to 118mbps.
So for me it didn't all happen at once.

You were lucky, ours are stuck as an open order, so we will just have to wait until it gets completed which is fine.
