Any offers for full fibre - BT?

[link to this post]

Are people paying full price for the full fibre packages or has anyone managed to get an offer? If so, any particular promo for example.

Just rang up and the person I spoke to didn't have any offers at the moment. £49.99 for 500Mbps.

Thanks

A few managed to get the Full Fibre 900 package down from £59.99 to £54.99

Not seen any comments on getting the 500Mb package reduced.

Think I may have to try again. Looks like the 150Mbps has gone from a promo of 29.99 to 39.99 now too.

MyBT shows Fibre 100 with Halo for £22. plus line rental. Fibre 900 with Halo for £61 plus line rental
Phoned BT up and won't offer me anything else.
They also insist i need to take Halo with all the full fibre packages. Is anyone else finding this?

I also got Fibre 900 halo 1 for £54.99, was initially quoted £81.99 on MyBT called in then was told i could only be offered 150Mbps package for £61.99. Called options team and i got the £54.99 deal which i happily took.

Why £61 BT's page says it is £59.99 and that price also includes the line rental, so have you got any extras that are knocking it up to £61 ?
Image of BT's page for this month >> here << also just check just now and the prices are still the same.

Also did you opt into the paid version of Halo because BT Halo 1 is free, you do NOT need to opt into a paid version of Halo to get any of BT's Fibre Products.

There is nothing wrong with having the free BT Halo 1 (which is what they were referring to) it just adds some extra support and features, you do not need to use those.

They do ask if you want to opt into the paid version of Halo, but you can say no to that, unless you want that.

Agreed, I just phoned up and was quoted the £54.99, I was expecting the online price of £59.99, so I was shocked.

I didn't even have to haggle to get that quote, I think that £54.99 p/m (which also include the line rental) for their Full Fibre 900 is worth that price considering that was the exact same price we were paying for their Fibre 250 product.

So I never asked for a better deal, I "might" of been able to get one, but was happy with the quoted price.

The way I saw it, get 3x the down and 2x the up for the same price as before, no brainer.
We only took this product for the faster upload, if BT did 300:110 for a good price we might of gone with that.

I posted the same question yesterday. No deals for new users but Quidco are doing a £105 cash back referral offer.

Hi Paul,

Just had another look at MyBT and it shows £61 for Full Fibre 900 with Halo 2 and Complete Wifi so does include extras above the main BT site. I assume this is the top package that they are trying to sell me.

Thanks for the info about Halo. I always assumed that i would be paying extra for Halo 1 or Halo 2 as the main BT site and the image you show doesn't mention Halo so suggested i was being offered something different.

That is probably why its saying £61
I think Halo 2 costs a minimum of £3 p/m, Complete Wi-Fi costs £5 p/m, but you might need to check those prices.

Yeah Halo 1 is free and is what you get given by default, its Halo 2 that you pay for, they do try to sell that paid service to you, but you can say no to that paid one.

I think Halo 2 might get you home Tech visits unless I read that wrong.

This is what it says for our broadband package.

Your current BT Broadband:

Full Fibre 900 with BT Halo 1

The best of our 4G, 5G and fibre with reliability, speed and service like you've never experienced. With BT Halo benefits.

• Unlimited usage
• Powered by our Full Fibre network What's this?
• Free access to 5 million BT Wi-fi hotspots
• 1000GB BT Cloud storage
• BT Web Protect, BT Virus Protect and BT Parental Controls included

And it shows Full Fibre 900 for £59.99, but we were quoted over the phone £54.99, so it pays to upgrade over the phone, we also don't have their Complete Wi-Fi, so that might add to the cost as well.

I was asked when upgrading from Fibre 250 to Full Fibre 900 if we wanted also upgrade to Halo 2 and add Complete Wi-Fi I said no to both of them.

Paul
