I had FTTPoD installed last year and am shortly going to re-grade it via Cerberus. That got me thinking...
Of the 7 neighbours that share the pole the terminal's on, one has taken up fibre.
Two others are interested, but a) they're not at all techie and b) the checker - wrongly - states that FTTP isn't available and only offers FTTPoD as an option.
I explained that if they wanted fibre they would need to phone BT and explain that the checker is wrong, but they're not keen on doing that as they don't know the techie details.
Does anyone know if there's a way to get Openreach to update the database manually? Doing so would mean my neighbours would be able to order without any hassles.
Of the two properties:
* One is a new-build next to me - they knocked down the old bungalow 4 years ago and crammed 2 houses in there. One took the old bungalow's name (and shows 1000/200 on the checker) and the other has a new name (and shows FTTPoD only).
* The other is over the road from me and the pole is right outside their house. It used to have a name, but was allocated a number... that seems to have messed up the records, as it appears twice. One shows nothing at all, the other shows FTTPoD only.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
