So I have a couple of problems at the moment. I've come to end of my original 12 month Fttpod contract and am free to move to a new supplier via standard FTTP
I started the process and made a request to migrate starting the notice in April to coincide with being out of contract, expecting this to be a smooth process.
Unfortunately Zen (incoming provider) cannot get Openreach to give a date that is within the normal 10 day window as a simple migration - despite several manual requests to them. At the moment the only date the openreach are committing to is late August. They are saying this is to do with the lack of engineers. Clearly this is nonsense as no visit is required to migrate a working fibre service.
I understood that a migration was simply just taking over the port on the existing ONT, and that could easily be done remotely without a visit, so why the august date?
I have even tried asking Zen to investigate taking over one of the three spare ports on my ONT (i have a 4 port ONT). Unfortunately Openreach's database is wrong, showing only a single port piece of equipment.
I have tried getting both ISP's raising this with OR, but there has been zero response on updating the database since April when this was first raised. Anyone have an idea as to how to accelerate this, or smart ideas of how to get to Openreach to update their records?
thanks
