BT 500 dropped from site

Seems you can no longer order this, it's gone back to 300 @ 49.99 p/m

Mistake or is there a reason?

It was a special offer they were running and listed as such.

As to why it was just a special offer, I guess they want more incentive for people to pay the extra £10 a month for the 1gbps tier, given that 500mbps is more than enough for now given hardly any services can use more than that it.

Its interesting that its completely removed and the older package remains.. Normally its the newer one that is kept. Either a new offer is coming or its an accidental misshap
