New Router slower speed.

I have been given a new router to test as the wi-fi on mine was playing up its exactly the same router (TalkTalk Wi-Fi hub) but on installing my speed has dropped from 70 Mbps to 14 Mbps (see test result below)

Wi-Fi is also around 13 Mbps using the TBB speed test.

The current speed on the old router was 70+ Mbps but it is now 29 (see link below)

Has anyone any idea what has gone wrong?

Looks like a completely faulty router - the upstream speed is almost zero (0.35M)

Or maybe just a broken pin or cable, so you're only connecting on one leg.

Why are the router stats showing 29 Mbps when the old one was 70+ Mbps i am on FTTC.

I changed the telephone wire with the one i had on the old router and its now sorted - https://i.postimg.cc/J4SRdJCd/4444444444.jpg

Thanks for suggesting the broken pin i wouldnt have tried the old wire had you not suggested it.

Wi-fi is now showing 35.5 Mbps down and 18.1 Mbps up.
