[VDSL] Reduction in upstream sync

[link to this post]

This is very much a minor thing but I've noticed that recently my upstream has dropped from an attainable rate of around 23-25Mbps down to 18.5. The stats all generally seem okay bar a slightly offset QLN but nothing that majorly stands out.

Downstream Upstream
Line attenuation (dB): 17.1 0.0
Signal attenuation (dB): Not monitored
Connection speed (kbps): 79999 18574
SNR margin (dB): 10.8 6.1
Power (dBm): 13.6 7.3
Interleave depth: 16 1
INP: 48.00 0
G.INP: Enabled Not enabled
Vectoring status: 1 (VECT_FULL)

RSCorr/RS (%): 0.0030 0.0201
RSUnCorr/RS (%): 0.0000 0.0000
ES/hour: 0 0

Max: Upstream rate = 18574 Kbps, Downstream rate = 96028 Kbps

The QLN is showing a bit of a bump across the final upload band (U2) but unfortunately I don't have old screenshots to hand for comparison.

Do those stats all look relatively normal? Vectoring is enabled on the line which makes me think it's unlikely to be crosstalk related. Usually 95-96Mbps attainble on the DS will safely get you into the 20s on US, but not sure how vectoring would affect that.

I did find some stats pre-vectoring from an old post of mine though, which suggests 20+ US was doable even back then.

Max: Upstream rate = 21421 Kbps, Downstream rate = 73608 Kbps

I'm not going to put too much effort into resolving it as it's not even 2Mbps of upload lost and my line stats are already great given it's a 400-450m line. Would be nice to get that little bit back though if there's something I can try locally.

The 40-320tones on the QLN and Bits charts doesn't look right. They all should be similar to the HLog chart in that it's tallest at the D0 on the left and tail off to the right.

Either REIN or it might be this bit of bad news.

I don't think so - the OP has vectoring so it's almost certainly not an ECI cabinet.
