2x NTE5’s Side by Side

[link to this post]

Currently I’ve got a single NTE5 mk4 fitted to a double single black box with the other side blanked. Looking at the design of the mk4 it has release tabs on the side. Would it be possible to install 2 on the double single back box?

Yes, but you’d need, say, the tip of a flat headed screwdriver to push tab between the two NTE’s.

[censored] design. Cheaply made.

Cheers smile. They certainly do look a bit ropey from both a looks point of view and a quality. Hard to understand what was wrong with screws.

two single faceplates on a double back box can usually be spaced apart by a few mm thanks to the give in the fixing screw holes

Unfortunately no wiggle room on the version I’ve got. Metal backbox without adjustment lugs.

if you can dril the holes in the faceplate to be a mm or so bigger that would give a bit of wiggle room. the nte5 plates if i recall had holes that were tight to hold the screws captive. why i dont know?
