G.Fast - Modem Options

Hello all, hope you are doing well. I'm trying to help a friend who's best service available is G.Fast 330Mbs - It's plenty more than his current Superfast FTTC connection, though I wanted some opinions on the best provider to go with in terms of modem / router that is provided with a G.Fast install.

He already uses Google Nest Wifi and has invested a bit in access points and set-up and likes it, so doesn't need a full Home Hub / WiFi Disc set-up, a simple modem would be preferred.

Appreciate anyone's experience on what's out there that's simple to connect the existing google Nest kit up to.

I've done a bit of forum searching and can see that

The big ISPs tend to not provide modems, just all in one devices they call "Hubs", and with G.Fast the problem is getting hold of a stand alone modem is not as easy as it is for VDSL (FTTC). The Google Nest Wifi works best when it is the router, as its of US origin, it expects to be connected to a modem (in the US, generally a DOCSIS cable modem).

zyxel xmg3927-b50a requested from AAISP or Pulse8 both got the g.fast router
